Learn Ealing continues to deliver courses through its online offer. We will deliver lessons and support learners through the use of Google Education suite, Zoom, Skype and other digital platforms. 

Our 2021-2022 Prospectus is now available, however there will be major changes to the way we can provide these courses in the Autumn Term.  

To participate in online classes you will need an email address, a reliable internet connection, a computer/laptop/tablet/mobile phone with fully updated browser (preferably Google Chrome).  Your device will need a microphone and preferably a camera.

Expand and enhance your breathing and learn how it can reduce stress and anxiety while you clear and calm your mind and boost your immunity.  

Aims of the course
This Mindful meditation course will help you to release all of the tensions of the day, you will learn techniques to help you to let go of your dayís events, unwind and release stress, tension and anxieties from the mind and the body. You will learn techniques that will allow you to reduce your bodyís response with how it deals with stress and anxiety, improve your emotional health which can lead to improved self-image and positive outlook on life, you will learn to enhance self-awareness, feel more revitalised and calm. This course is for everyone whether you are working fulltime or part time, self-employed, caring for others, full time parent, unemployed, whatever walk of life you come from. Aims of the course/workshop: - Mindfulness tools to release the stresses and tensions of the day - Mindful techniques to release tension in the mind and body

What you will learn on this course
- Mindful Meditation techniques to relax and unwind - Mindful Breath work techniques to improve emotional state and decrease levels of stress - Mindful Yoga practices to release tension and blocks in the body. - Relaxation practices to bring an overall sense of wellbeing. Learning Outcomes - Identify what meditation is and how to still the mind using mindful meditation. - Use a variety of breathing techniques to relax and destress the mind and body - Practice yoga techniques that will release tensions and blocks in the mind and body, and allow you just to let go. - Carry out deep relaxation posture to bring the bod and mind to a deep state of bliss.

Course level
No previous experience is required; all levels and ages are welcome. There will be a short section of gentle stretches to help release tension and blocks within the body using arms, hands, shoulders, waist, leg movements, ankles and feet movements. All movements will have modifications for able and less able.

Suitability and entry requirements
This course is designed for anyone looking to bring peace and calm into their lives, it is suitable for everyone. Keeping physically active is key to our health but sometimes itís best to check with your Doctor before you start any physical exercise especially if you are taking medications, have high blood pressure, bone or joint problems, any pains or any other health issues. A Physical activity check list will need to be completed before starting the course so please attach any referral notes that you may have obtained from your GP.

How you will learn on the course
Your tutor will guide you through gentle slow practical Demonstrations and guided instructions, all carried out at your own pace. Platform for the course/workshop: This course/workshop will be held on Zoom. You can join by clicking on the link within the joining instructions. Once you have joined, please turn on your camera. Physical activity checklist: Mandatory for all types of physical activity courses. Please complete (before the start of your course) and return to This will help the tutor to ensure that the exercises are designed for your needs if you have any health conditions. Ealing Adult Learning has an E-Safety Policy and Procedure which can be requested at any time for further information.

Assessment method
Assessments will be carried out through verbal feedback and feedback forms to be completed and returned at the end of the course.

No Resources and materials - Wear loose comfortable clothing - Can be carried out Sitting on the floor or a chair - To be carried out on an empty stomach - To be situated in a quiet space so that no one can distract you - A shawl or a blanket for meditation and mindful relaxation - A cushion to support the lower spine if sitting on the floor
