Learn Ealing continues to deliver courses through its online offer. We will deliver lessons and support learners through the use of Google Education suite, Zoom, Skype and other digital platforms.

How you will learn on the course
This course will be held on Zoom. You can join by clicking on the link within the joining instructions. Once you have joined, please turn on your camera. Learn Ealing has an E-Safety Policy and Procedure which can be requested at any time for further information. - Tutor will check outcome of skill learnt by looking on screen at completion of learnerís practical task - Learners can ask questions throughout the session - Pictures of learners work should be taken
How much additional time do you need?
Yes, 1 hour of independent study, you will be sent information by your tutor.
Resources, materials & additional costs?
- You will need to buy ingredients. The list of ingredients and equipment will be sent to you beforehand - You may have to purchase some equipment however most equipment including bowls, heart and star cutters etc you may already have at home. - Tutor tries to keep the cost to a minimum. Resources and materials - Bowl - Rolling pin (can be wooden or polyethylene) - Any star, heart cutters - Mat to roll fondant out on(can use home worksurface) - Other equipment will be sent in an advance list before course starts

Ruby Buffong has been decorating cakes for 38 years and has been teaching cake decorating for 13 years. She has extensive knowledge of cake decorating and baking. She is a professional tutor and dedicated to ensuring students learn the art of cake Baking and Cake Decorating. Many of her students go on to have small cake businesses. She has won various certificates in cake decorating competitions which include Gold, Silver, Bronze, Certificate of Merit, Highly Commended and Commended. She is a member of The British Sugarcraft Guild and a Cake Demonstrator for the Guild
