Description

This course offers an introduction to our Bookkeeping Using Spreadsheets and the Sage 50 Accounts Beginner course. Learn how to prepare a cashbook using Excel or Google sheets and enhance your bookkeeping skills.  

Course Outline
This course should take approximately 2 hours. It is suitable for business owners and their employees, students and individuals aspiring to become successful bookkeepers and accountants; parents or guardians responsible for the household budget, the young and old, and just about anyone.

Learning outcomes
Learning outcomes - By the end of this course, learners should be able to: - Download data from their online bank accounts - Sort the data via spreadsheet - Analyse receipts and payments using separate spreadsheets; and - Analyse receipts and payments in a combined cashbook

Suitability and entry requirements
Entry requirements Learners should have a basic understanding of Excel spreadsheets and/or Google sheets, familiar with a computer keyboard, basic numeracy skills and intermediatelevel English are also recommended. Learners should also be able to follow spoken and written instructions, add, subtract, multiply and divide.

How you will learn on the course
How will I be taught? It’s an online course made up of a number of short prerecorded videos with step by step instructions as to how to complete the exercise. At the end, the solution to the exercise is given for you to check your work.

Resources, materials & additional costs?
Resources you will need: Calculator, pen, paper, pdf reader and access to Excel spreadsheet or Google Sheets.
