Description

This course is designed to help students to read, write, use, order and compare fractions, decimals and percentages. Students will be able to demonstrate their ability in mathematical skills and their ability to apply these to solve problems successfully in the workplace and in other real life situations.

This course is designed to help students to read, write, use, order and compare fractions, decimals and percentages. Students will be able to demonstrate their ability in mathematical skills and their ability to apply these to solve problems successfully in the workplace and in other real life situations.

Aims of the course
By the end of this course, learners should be able to: - Use and repeat the 12 times table - Differentiate between the 3 major types of fractions - Understand equivalent fractions - Simplify and order fractions - Find the fraction of an amount - Add and subtract fractions - Multiply and divide fractions - Convert between fractions, decimals and percentages - Alternatives ways of solving problems (a few tips and tricks)

What you will learn on this course

Suitability and entry requirements
Learners should have, basic numeracy skills and intermediate-level English is also recommended. Learners should also be able to follow spoken and written instructions, add, subtract, multiply and divide

How you will learn on the course
This is an online course of 8 modules. Each module has a number of short videos with step by step instructions as to how to complete each task. There are short quizzes to test learning in each module, homework and a test at the end
