If you are interested ESOL (English for Speakers of other Languages) course then you re required to complete an assessment to confirm the correct level for you.

Before you start
If you want to join an ESOL (English for Speakers of other Languages) course, you will need to complete a short assessment.
This helps us place you on the right level.

What to bring on the day
Our courses are funded, so we must check that you are eligible.
Please bring the following documents on the day:
Photo ID - passport, driving licence, or national ID
Immigration status - biometric residence card or share code
Proof of address - a recent bill (e.g. council tax or utility bill)
Proof of income (if you are on a low wage)
Proof of benefits (if you receive benefits)
National Insurance number - shown on a card, payslip, or letter
What to expect on the day
You will complete a short assessment which includes:
- Speaking & listening with a tutor
- Reading
- Writing
- Allow maximum 2 hours to complete the assessment and enrolment
- Children and additional adults will not be permitted in the assessment room
